| To travel thru Asia is comparable to being in a time warp. On the one hand there are new highways and
modern high rises, similar to any cosmopolitan US city. On the other hand, there is historic architecture and
rich craftsmanship that reflects the heritage and the artistry of an era gone by. We are continually inspired by
what we see during our travels, from the ancient forts to the resourceful people, from the seasonal monsoons
to the pulse of a rapidly changing economy. It only makes sense to utilize the old doors, windows, columns,
and various architectural elements we find into modern home furniture and accessories, creating functional
pieces with an old world charm. It seems truly fitting to create these pieces as a reflection of India and Asia -
an ancient world leaping into modern times. |
